Yesterday night, brought the 6 kittens up to play in our room and few hrs later, the mother cat was mewing really loudly outside our door. She wants her kids back. I took her into the bedroom so she can be with her kids but she wasnt satisfied. Continued meowing really loudly, nonstop. So i put some food in the food bowl. She and her kids ate it all up, and then she started meowing all over again. Very annoying. And she seldom comes up to the 3rd floor unless she's very hungry or if she wants her kids back down to the 2nd floor which I think, she has now registered it as her home. You can say that she's kinda possessive towards her kids afterall, they're only 5weeks old to date..
So me and bf had to carry all of them back down to the 2nd floor and only then, the mother cat's meowing stopped.
What a relief. Got to get her used to letting her kids go independent and be able to let them roam wherever they want cos when bf n i opened our bedroom door to let them walk out, only Foxy and the mothercat walked down to 2nd floor. Bubbles, who is used to the stairs alrdy, ignored his mother's meowing when she continued her inncessant 'calling out' for her kids to come down to her. Even when i put Ginger and Sunny (the two ginger colored kittens) at the top of the staircase, hoping that bubbles could lead them down, they just stood there not moving and then all of them turned around n ran back into our bedroom Lols
Bunny (black kitten) and Tiny (white with black spots on back kitten), didnt even bother to go out of the room. They continued to play around the scratching post.
See, even though the kittens are having fun in our room and are not worried at all where they're at, the mothercat just wants things her way.. If only she is more carefree with her kids, that would be soo much better. Cos these felines cant be living it out in a cage forever.. I want them to be able to join us in our bed like how Koko aka Tibbles can.. That would be oh so sweet :)
